Downloading now. I had some sort of strange drop in power last night that shut down the program. :(

According to the read me file, it's still in DX9.0c.

Which is bad, because it's still running poorly with my new computer, E6700, 2gig, 8800gts/320. I'm going to drop resolution back to 1024 when I continue the saved game, but I already had to throttle back to high from ultra high, and it's still slow.

Optimized, it ain't.

Are you running the Crysis Nvidia drivers?

Are you running the Crysis Nvidia drivers?

Probably not. :D I'll go look for them now. And I re-read the readme file. Seems it requires dx 9.0c, but buried in the text is a mention that some features only work in DX10, so it could be running in dx10.

EDIT: I am up to date on drivers for my card. I was thinking you meant something that came out in the last couple days. But Nvidia's analysis thingy is telling me I'm set.

Those are the ones I have

my CPU + gcard are very similar to yours Rand. With those drivers, at 1440X900, I get anywhere from 30-65 fps (did some more testing a little bit ago). Few more tweaks would give me a couple more FPS, though I doubt I'd be able to double that 30 fps number when all hell breaks loose.

And in other news, boosting into parked cars and bailing at the last second is incredibly fun :D

Never saw that post, just the one about the DX9.0c update. I'm downloading now and will pull up a saved game somewhere in the demo to see what difference it makes. Thanks.
