Anyone know how long the Beta period is supposed to last?

I dunno. Seems that if they are still on track for November release, they'd want to end the beta before then, spend another week or two tweaking, and release a demo several weeks before. Sort of how the demo came out a month before the release for UT2k4. :?

At this point, it's very difficult to post anything meaningful in the beta forums because of the thousands of posts already there, so I would think they have enough to go on now to make some changes.

To be honest, I was under the impression that this was "the" demo. I have never heard anywhere that there was going to be a non-beta demo in addition to the one we are already playing.

Nah, there will be a regular demo. Epic wouldn't leave a demo out in this condition.

I'd imagine they've already knocked out a bunch of bugs, but sadly I don't think they will put out a patch for the beta demo to see how well they've done so far.

One would hope they wouldn't release a full demo like this. Hopefully they get their butts in gear and polish the crap outta this thing, give us a real working server browser (not the hybrid console-centric abortion of a browser we have now). And of course give us a taste of Warfare mode :2thumbs:
