Crap. So this just happened.
I could see it coming though. Started about a week ago where my xbox would randomly freeze up. Sigh.
I just need to know if anyone knows the correct number/email to use to contact microsoft to get it repaired.
Ill try and do some digging to find it.
Help sooner as appose to later would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys.

Take a look here (http://editorials.teamxbox.com/xbox/1651/The-Red-Ring-of-Death/p1/). The bottom half of the first page looks to very informational.

Question.
My xbox is outta warranty. Oh boy.
But didnt microsoft ensure a three year automatic warranty for the RRoD?

they may be removing this warranty because it is costing them 100's of millions every month, (first and second generation 360's have a 30% failure rate)

You know what's the worst part? Even when they do change it, you are still faced with the fact that it might happen again. My cousin sent his back and was impressed by their speed, everything took less than a week. 3 weeks after he received it, he got RRoD AGAIN! This time, they said send it back and we will fix it for an actual cost since the warranty was over. Lameass microsoft, he decided to leave it and not spend over a 100 bucks on fixing it.

If your's is out of warrenty, you might want to take a look at a few of the "home grown" solutions for fixing this problem. I know they are around, and google might be your friend in finding them.

actually, the warranty renews on the RRoD, every time they send u a new console.... so it should NEVER be out of warranty

in a word
YES
199 for a 360 + HDD + 1 controller
and then just go buy FC2 and Fallout 3
@ Gene
the most common "home grown" fix is "Percussive maitenence" and then if that doesnt work put a towel over the top of it
