Sneak peak at our custom maps

Hey all, in case you are unaware I'm part of a group of mappers. Our name is Grid Gaming Studios (http://www.grid-gaming.net). Just thought I would show you guys some of the threads within the DOD forums that shows some updates on maps we are working on and see what you guys think. Check out our website (work in progress) and the threads below.

dod_zafod (95% complete) Have a beta but having a few FPS issues we are dealing with and some minor fixes/incompletes.

wasnt very much a fan of zafod back in 1.3 (no castle in this version?). but im liking the remake of dod_edge, that was a one of my favorite maps. :2thumbs:

Having a CL exclusive 1 week prior to your official map launch would be killer hehe.

And if you need someone to help with the map testing, let me know. I'm good at running into walls and falling into holes.

I remember when Cain's Lair was a beta tester for DODS. It was great fun playing and testing the maps with the developers. :2thumbs:

I think that when we get a beta it will be good to make it exclusive to Cains lair for a week before we make it a public beta. That would be great. It would be on the condition of feed back and a thread with honest opinions.

Oh their is a castle. I think the pics from that thread were from a long time ago. Wait until you see it :) I'll chat with walker and see if we can have you guys check it out this weekend. Zafod that is...

Edge will be a month or so before we want people to come in and play.

Once when they were adjusting the penetration power of the K98 they lined about 8 of us up, in a line, and shot us. It killed 6 of us and the 7th had less than 10% health. :shock: :D

hey cain, i would be happy doing a exclusive when we release edge, it looks like it will be the first to release, the beta release for testing tho wont be exclusive, word
