Crysis ??

I love it. Dude it actually plays like battlefield if the right people are playing. Me and this one dude always do parachute drops on the enemy base. I believe Cains Lair should make a server for it but beware. Free Weapons servers are populated much. And also beware of hackers because it is HORRIBLY BAD IN CRYSIS. There is one hack that is common where a spectator can just click on the scoreboard names and the people die. Also be sure to make rules such as No base raping or no nukes until such and such time because then it reduces the amount of complaining.

Also the most popular map in the multiplayer is a power struggle map called Mesa. also Power struggle usually has the most players and the time limits need to be huge for it to be a good match. so i reccomend a 24/7 Mesa Free Weapons server.

i have it... only played the online version once.... i would be interested in playing it again if you set up a server.

The game looks amazing, and I see they have new game coming out in September called Warhead, that will have a new and assumably better MP called:

Crysis Wars.....

I have not found a dedicated server download, so I'd have to buy the game, then drive to Columbia (where my server is about 30 mins from my home) load that sucker up then start figuring it out.

TeamK, do you have buddies who play this on-line that you could get to play here if I pop up a server for Crysis??

Well, let's put it that way. With my quad core and a 8800GT, i get 30FPS on 1240xsomthing.... all sets at Max. So yes it does destroy ur PC! It is great to look at thou, i love catching birds and throwing them :twisted:

Wow, if K only get 30fps with his single 8800GT and quad core, I'll check mine again and see what I get with SLI 8800GT and 4400+ Dual core.

Ok, on high it seems to be doing about 15 to 20 and on medium about 25.

I can live with that.

Oh and P.S. I used to get 70FPS on 1680x1050 all max in Bioshock, which is pretty much of equal graphics. They have made a mistake somewhere in this game cuz not many people can run it, not even two 9800GX2 in quad SLI can get it on 2000+ and all max.

crysis SP is hands down the best experience ever. I used to finish this game once a day, and i still do. (I really like the first 4 levels). Dont worry about the graphics juneau, this is coming from someone who played the game at 800x600 all low. The gameplay of crysis is actually very good.

For competitive MP i think crysis is not that good though, first of all, everybody hacks. I mean everybody. Secondly, the control is not as fluid as COD4. u know like in COD4 u can cancel your sprint if u wanna aim down the sight, and u can cancel your prone by running, etc. you can do everything really quickly. in Crysis, if you are srpinting and wanna aim down the sight, you have to stop first and wait until you are not moving then u can aim, or else nothing will happen. u cant cancel your prone by sprinting, when u press shift, u crawl more quickly instead. Not to mention you have to hold the crouch button or sprint button (its not a toggle). and then there is the BIGGEST issue of all: burst firing. If u fire in bursts, sometimes the bullets dont come out unless you do a long pause between each burst.

Forgot to mention... they also cut down all the physics in MP, environment is dead, nothing can be picked up or destroyed.

With all that, i think really crysis is great for SP. But MP is not suitable for competitive play.

You little bugger! I used to be playing any game at a max of 20 FPS!!!!! Of course now, I get a constant 90 FPS on most games with max settings.... I'm gonna head out sometime this week and buy Bioshock and Crysis :)

See how they run because half the people say they can run it well on an alright machine, and some say they can barely play on a godlike machine

I don't mean to change the subject, but Bioshock is a MUCH better game than Crysis will ever be. From storyline to gameplay, it is simply the best after GoW and GOW2

Back to Crysis, I think it's probably a complete no for 80% of all gamers, and only a few of that 20% who can play it will actually play it. I think Warhead would be the better idea, cause from everything I've heard now, lookin around on google, it's way too nutzy to run. Warhead though..... :D:2thumbs:

I'm liking the warhead idea also. It should be a hoot with all the feedback they've gotten from the online game play in the original.
