question for the steam experts

OK I'm going to be buying TF2 for my lad for Christmas. What I want to know is do I need to download it all over again or I can I use the files I already have to save time in some way?

Worked it out for myself :)

Made a backup on my drive then paid for it on his pc and used the steambackup.exe via the LAN to install it.

If you have 2 accounts it should be fine... I know I have had a buddy login into his steam account of my Pc and play CSS... granted his controls were setup like mine... lol

Yeah I made him his own account. It'll be nice to follow him onto servers but I expect I'm going to be doomed when I do :)
