Finally got around to upgrading, the prices on components are just too good right now not to do it. Finally, good bye AGP!

New stuff:
E6750 GO 2.6 with 400FSB running @ 3.2
EVGA 8800gts 512m
DFI Blood Iron Mobo
Corsair 550 watt PSU
2G Crucial Balistix Tracers (gotta have my bling)
230 gb sata WD drive
Windows XP Home edition

Old stuff:
Thermaltake Shark case
Zalman Reserator.

3d mark 06 score
Without cpu overclock: 11742
With cpu overclock: 12790

UT3 runs a solid 60 fps, doesn't budge one way or the other.
Crysis with a mixture of high an med runs really smooth.

I was able to keep spending under under a thousand dollars, just barely but I did it. Originally I planned to upgrade in October, prices back then on what was available at the time would have had me closer to $1500

I can not believe how easily the proc over clocks. I just bumped the fsb from 333 to 400 and bam, over a thousand more points in 3D mark 06 and the temps didn't even move, not even a little bit. My old set up had a P4 3.2 prescott that ran so friggen hot. This one Idles at 25C, just awesome. I'm going to hold off OCing the vid card for now. I know I could probably push it a little more but this thing is running like a raped ape.

Is that th Thermaltake Reserator that you had ? You listed Zalman, but it should be Tt. I was looking at one of them, just not sure whether I wanna go that route or the Corsair Nautilus 500 unit.

Zalman makes Reserators. All Thermaltake does is cheap knock-offs of the already existent designs :P

AHA ! Makes sense now ... the Tt doesn't quite do it then, as it was the blue Zalman that first caught my eye. How that working for you ?? Water cooling is about the only thing I haven't delved into yet, so its on my list for checking out in 2008.
Between that and the Corsair, I like both units, so I'm looking for user reviews.

If you're looking for user reviews - you should try heading to [H] forums, there are plenty of people who have watercooling setups:

Also, here are a few Corsair Nautilus reviews:

I really like the Zalman. It's a huge hunk of metal but that just adds to its coolness. It looks like some kind of import car hop up. If I only had a dollar for every time someone said, "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?!?!?"

Thanks for the comments guys!

I've got the Zalman Reserator on the cpu and a jank Antec Spot Cool on the north bridge which will be temporary until I find a good after market cooler. I knew the one on the Blood Iron got hot but I just wanted to take precautions. With the fan is 35c without it it's 55c.

I was wrong before when I said it was Thermaltake, after looking at it, its made be Antec. Here's a review on it:

http://www.cluboverclocker.com/reviews/fans/antec/spot_cool/index.htm

I called it jank, but it actually works quite well. It has two speed settings, both inaudible once the case is closed. I have holes in the side panel instead of an actual window and I cant even hear it.

Does it provide decent cooling? Thinking of buying two and strapping them to my HDDs. :D
