Ive never read edge so i dont know how good of a source they are but since they did have different winners than spike tv i thought it would be worth mentioning. They clearly seem to love nintendo though :)

You also missed Halo 3 as best online experience. Seems that title belongs to COD4 this year.

Wii Channels has no business being in the discussion. Everyone Votes and Check Me Out are minor time wasters. Though Wii Virtual Console is very cool.

Some of the points made in the thread were very good, like how in the heck did Valve win "Best Hardware?" :?

Valve won best developer, not best hardware. Harmonix's Rock Band won Best Hardware.

And it is arguable that Halo 3 has the best online experience. Theres a lot of added value there with the large number of game types, the party system, and the replay videos. I'd probably be playing it if I didn't detest the matchmaking system and the controller scheme for console FPSes so much.

Oh, sorry. I wrote my post just after reading page 1 of the forum link from Prem, and one of the nitwits there had two "best hardware" listings instead of best developer, and I didn't go back to look at the original list.
