BF2142 or BF2

Since most of you have had a chance to sink your teeth into both or at least one of the games, lets see your opinion, and why. Honesty is important!

I Beta tested and Played the Demo of 2142 and to be honest I was not a big fan. It was all about the Titan mode but when that titan starts a movin the frame rate starts a droppin and the game gets unplayable.

At the current time I have no intention of playing 2142 and will play BF2 as long as Cain's Lair is running it! :2thumbs:

With a ping of 190 BF2142 is nearly impossible to play.

Limey, if you got the sniper unlock you would love sniping on BF2142. :D
It has a zoom scope and with the stabilizer there isn't any wobble.

I enjoy BF2142 very much, and the titan lag is not nearly what it used to be. There are still occasional issues, but I have been playing almost exclusively Titan mode lately and even with the Titans right next to each other I rarely experience a problem.

For me, Titan mode is what 2142 is all about. Conquest is just BF2 with different maps and weapons. As an extra bonus, you will rank up a LOT faster in Titan mode...there are pins and badges for just about everything.

I love BF2, it is the most fun I have ever had playing an FPS (and I've played pretty much all of them). But it's getting old, and EA is too stupid to release another actual expansion pack instead of these crappy little EA Downloader addons. Some new weapons, vehicles, and especially new maps would breathe new life into the game for me, but I don't see it happening. I'll still play it occasionally, but I'm just tired of its current content and there doesn't appear to be any more on the horizon.

BF2142 all the way for me.

I absolutely love titan mode. I have only notice frame rate issues when enter the emenies titan but only a few times. I hardly ever have a prob with frame rate issue when they are moving the titans. And I dont have a very power machine.

I loved BF2 when it came out but after a while it just got boring to me for some reason. Titan mode is a very nice addition for me. I am still bored with conquest mode but I have only played one round and I was surround by idiots so I didnt have a fun time with it. I am going to give conquest mode a few rounds but titan mode is just so much fun for me.

I can't take EA/DICE anymore. I quit playing BF2 a couple of months ago. The bugs, the crashes, the patches, etc... have left a bad taste in my mouth. I tried the BF2 v2142 demo and wasn't impressed. I'll play HL2, CS, and UT2k4 until UT2k7 hits the streets.

I haven't bought the game yet but after Nov 10th I will be gettting it and In hope it lasts until UT2k7 comes out. I also hope and pray that...

1. UTT2k7 doesn't suck.
2. My laptop will play it OK
3. That Apachee likes it better then UT2K4. :)

I am always willing to give a new game a try. I didn't care much for BF2 when the demo was released. I was playing DOD then. I liked to snipe and BF2 basic sniper sucks. :D

Agree strongly with both of these. :2thumbs: We can only hope they don't screw over 2k7 and make it another 2k3.
