I picked my copy up on Wednesday. Anybody else get it? I would love to kick some butt with some CLR's.

Make sure to post your user name as well :2thumbs:

I'm still considering it, but currently leaning away, even with Circuit City's deal on it this week.

Besides, next week UT3 hits, and will suck the life out of every other online FPS for the next couple of weeks (if it blows) to months (if it's decent).

Edit: I am going to CC now it's 49.99 with a $10.00 certificate that I can use for UT3. :D

I pre-ordered UT3 as well. Oh, so much gaming to do, so little time.

Duke, it should be 39.99 at Circuit City. Just use the $10 off GC on UT3 when that shows up and you get a good deal on both games !

I hope this isn't and shouldn't be a spoiler, but when I'm in a fire fight with the KPA and cloak to flank them, I just start laughing -a lot- when I hear them looking for me....

My favorite line from the KPA... "I kill you for fun!"

So far, the best FPS single-player I've played this year.

I wont say how, but there is rumor (actually its more than a rumor) that x64 support can be patched to make the game run. So if you want this game and have a x64 bit os you might wanna keep a eye out for support.

yes, and if you have to ask, your machine probably can't run it

Dual Core processor, 2 Gb RAM, high-end Nvidia or ATI graphics card (8800 variant or 2900 variant). You might be able to get away with an older high end Nvidia card 7950GT/GX2, etc.), though you'll have to turn some stuff down/run at a lower res (640X480 ftw).

I'll hopefully get it for Xmas. It's not a priority for me as i doubt i'll be playing the multiplayer too much, especially with UT3 coming out.

Kyle, the only thing holding you back there is the 7900GS. That will choke on the higher polygon/advanced effect environments that Crysis offers. You'll probably be able to run it at 30fps, but on medium or possibly low, again at a lower resolution.

And 375 PSU? Yeah.....that's no good :|

I got rooked over like a a cheap prom date at my Circuit Chitty !! First of all, two store employees checked stock after I found a bare shelf and both said they were out of stock. So I grabbed CoD4 and headed for the checkout. I passed yet another employee and asked him if they had any copies. His reply "Oh yea, we keep 'em in the back room' ... WTF!! ???!! Great place to sell your games !! Anyhoo, I got to the counter and it rang up at 49.99. I said 'Hmm, the flyer has it at 39.99'. Off to find a manager he went, then comes back telling me that I had to have signed up for this Gamer Card ad at the bottom of the page showing the PC games for sale to get the 39.99 price !!! OK, fine, ring me up at 49.99 and I'll take the $10 GC at least .. ohh noo, sir !! again, that gift card is only available for Gamer Card carrying members. So I got no damn deal at all, and it seems like everyone else did but me ... I'll try the demo which I downloaded yesterday and if I don't like it, they can have their sealed Crysis copy back ... jerks ..

My copy is going back to Circuit Chitty today. They either honor the price mistake and give me the $10 gift card or they get it back and I buy from Frys for $39.99. I should have never left the store after they backed out of honoring both even tho it was in their flier.

No way I should have to get played by some cash register monkey who doesn't want to give me the quoted price.

WT, you just got saddled with idiots. Demand the manager or whoever is in charge today, and get him to honor the ad. The 39.99 price does not require the gamer card--all that does is give you an additional 10 percent off. The gift card's only restriction is that you have to use in on a future visit. Raise enough of a stink and they'll set you right.

Well, heres what a return trip got me. I went to Customer Service to gripe about this mess and they held firm on the $49.99 price, but gave me the gift card that I never received. Her explanation was 'You are essentially buying the game for $39.99 and getting the gift card for yourself for $10'.

Umm, the ad states that I get a FREE GC with PURCHASE !! It doesn't say I have to PAY $10 FOR A GIFT CARD !!!!! Amazing .. I assume this is yet another reason why I shouldn't buy an EA game. Regadless, I paid $10 extra, and now have to give my business back to CC on the $10 card.

I played the demo last night ... it really feels like nothing more than Far Cry with a graphics refresh. So I wasn't as impressed as I expected to be. That, and the fact that Circuit Chitty keeps screwing me over, and I honestly think I will be taking my unopened copy back to the store.

I would prefer a good strategy game to another FPS anyhow, so I gess I'll wait to play CoH:OF that I added to my Xmas list.

I Don't know about the rest of you, but I also tried out the multiplayer and that was pretty fun too. I'm gonna be spending a lot of time with this Game...

No mention of any crashing in this thread, am I the only so far here that gets the occasional crash to desktop? On a few other forums, it seems quite wide spread.

Been playing this one for a bit and am impressed (single player). Haven't ventured online yet (too many games, so little time). No performance issues at all. I give it a double thumbs up.

I got this game last week and I think it is great. I put it down for a few days to play F.E.A.R, which was also fun, but really short even with the 2 expansions. Now I'm off to play some more Crysis.

That is the same setup I am running Dark4se. Once you have the right drivers loaded the game is smooooootthh.

I enjoyed the game immensely, beautiful to play, nicely paced, different types of environments. Well worth it.
